Our Mission : The upliftment of women and children with a special emphasis on socially and economically weaker sections of the society. Our Vision: Bhagini Nivedita Pratishthan Pune is a community’s recognized leader in promoting a common woman to flourish in her own way and in equipping every child for bright future.

Bhagini Nivedita Pratishthan Pune established in 1979, is a mature organization, vibrant and being nurtured by a group of dedicated women working for the welfare of women and children. We, at BNP Pune, believe in grasping the essence of problems of a common woman and helping her flourish and flower in her own way. We aim to prepare her seize better opportunities for enriching herself and life of her family. We impart information about new technologies and knowledge to women which develops their personality, aids them improve their financial conditions and makes them self-reliant.

We also trust in helping children to adopt self-learning methods which will reap the benefits of bright career. So to help the school going children strengthen their educational base and to motivate them to learn with fun and inculcate self-learning habits we run Abhyasika project. We try to do this through various activities such as language games mathematical puzzles, field trips, hobby workshops, science experiments etc.

    1. Various personality development, and art and craft development vacation workshops were organized for different groups .
  • March 2016
    1. International Woman Day was celebrated in a special manner! An interactive Session for all the budding Women entrepreneurs were carried out.
    2. Career Counseling Workshop was arranged for young students from Dighi area. Both the programs were conducted by Deepika Panikkar and Madhuri Kale, under the guidance of Dr. Sulabha Deuskar .
  • February 2016
    1. Eye check up camp was organized at our Dighi Campus totally free of cost for the senior citizen. The needy were given free spectacles. The event was sponsored by Neelima Divekar, a veteran executive from HDFC and Doctors from Lions Club.
    2. A mega event was taken up by our science teachers. About 600 students from 6 different schools in and around Khamgaon city were given opportunity to perform science experiments themselves. Anagha Tare our local representative took the initiative and Bharati Khurjekar, Smita Damle , Sunita Vaidya under the guidance of Kishori Belsare, planned and executed the event for 3 full days. Students and local school teachers were benefitted and motivated.
    3. A field visit of all the volunteers, staff managing committee members was arranged on 27th Feb 2016. They visited DIY (Do It Yourself) Lab at Vidnyana Ashram Kothrud and enjoyed a unique method of learning Science and technology.
    4. The members also visited Orbittal Electro-Mech factory at Shivne and got an opportunity to watch the process of LED lamp making.
  • January 2016
    1. Various competitions like storytelling, singing, dancing, elocution etc. were held for special children with hearing and speech disability. Students from various schools and institutions participated and the winners were felicitated by founder of Bal Ranjan Kendra and corporate Madhuri Sahastrabuddhe.
    2. On the occasion of National Science Week Science Exhibition of projects completed students was organized at Dighi. The projects were based on the theme ‘International year of Light and of Soil’.
  • “Career guidance and employability skills development workshop” by Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar – Director MobieSutra to be held in Sadashiv Peth Office on 6th / 13th / 20th December 2015.
  • Recipient of prestigious JEWEL OF INDIA Award and CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE by Indian Solidarity Council, New Delhi in August 2015.
  • Research paper entitled “ Low Cost Methodology of Teaching Science in Schools” which evaluates the science centre activities of BNP Pune has been selected for the National Science Teachers’ Conference to be held in Pune in December 2015.
